The Newgrange ASLA© Assessment for Senior Leadership Appointments process gives our clients an additional, objective, and expert insight into short-list candidates. We utilise our psychometric assessment capabilities together with competency interviews and other selection processes.

We work with clients to examine:

  • How each candidate’s deep-rooted personality influences their leadership behaviour
  • Their motivation, energy, and levels of resilience
  • How their thinking skills, self-image and concepts of personal power influence their decision-making
  • How their people skills and communication skills are expressed, and the impact they will have on others
  • How they will lead their teams, and how they will respond as part of a leadership team
  • How they cope with change themselves, and whether they can lead others in change
  • Their instincts for opportunities and managing risks
  • Their ability to support an established culture, or change and develop a new culture in an organisation

 

The Newgrange AELC© Assessment for Emerging Leadership Candidates process has been developed for our clients who wish to evaluate candidates for mid-tier and first-time leadership roles. The assessment process examines the same issues as our ASLA© process but is tailored for the challenges and opportunities likely to be faced by first-time leaders or those in mid-tier leadership roles.

We work with clients in scenarios such as:

  • Providing an objective analysis of leadership competencies and styles for all short list candidates
  • Delivering a second opinion when a single candidate has been recommended prior to or outside a search process
  • Enabling a balanced comparison between internal and external candidates
  • Assessing the potential, development opportunities and risks of appointing a high potential but not yet fully rounded candidate

 

The depth of insight in our assessment processes are matched with contextual knowledge of the challenges faced by candidates operating in c-level, senior executive and other leadership roles in complex organisations. We provide comprehensive reports and can join leadership teams and selection panels in their decision making. We can also support candidate feedback processes to enable our clients to manage candidate perceptions of the hiring organisation.
